The calanque de l’Eissadon and its majestic needle on the Mediterranean sea look just like a postcard. We are are in the furthest area in the massif du Puget. It takes at least 2h20 to walk there from the col de la Gardiole.
Like the calanques du Devenson and de l’Oule, hikers cannot reach it.
But don’t worry, the col de l’Eissadon and the peak of the small East island already give beautiful viewpoints.
L’Eissadon is the favorite stop for kayaks, because of the vertical landscapes, because going through the needle is fun

How to get there
- You can only get to the calanque de l’Eissadon by sea. However, there is a beautiful viewpoint from the col de l’Eissadon and the peak of the small island.
- Duration: 2h20 - from la Gardiole (La Gineste road)
- Route:
- Walk from the gate near the road of la Gineste in front of Carpiagne military camp and follow the paved road that descends in the small valley to enter in la Gardiole area, then go up until the Col de la Gardiole, follow the path to the calanque d’En-vau (red n°7). It goes around the forest house and then away from it, on the right to the West, then goes down to En-vau valley. Go down the valley until crossing the green-marked path. At this moment take the green marked path n°8 on the right, going up to the col de l’Oule, then go down to the Oule valley. The path passes near Oule cave, then after curving on the right, it goes up to col de l’Eissadon.
