The rock of "Le Bec de l'Aigle" (altitude 155m) is easily recognizable by its size and shape. When seen from La Ciotat, it appears as a rounded mass, while from Cap Canaille or Île Verte, it resembles a peak. It is located at the western end of the bay of La Ciotat and marks the end of Cap Canaille.
It is made of a particular stone, called « Poudingue », made of concentrated shingles, up to the top of the cliffs. The Bec de l'Aigle faces Île Verte and overlooks the beautiful Mugel park. The calanque de Figuerolles is located just a little further.
