On the small islands bordered with the shallows, the lighthouse is 70 meters high and was built in 1959 to replace another one. Many boats have sunk after hitting the shallows. The island is now a must-go for scuba diving, for the seabed and for the wrecks. The lighthouse is made of stones from Cassis. It used to be occupied, but now it works automatically and the building is used by a scuba diving school.
