Hiking trail from la Gardiole to the calanque d’En-vau

The easiest way to get to the calanque d’En-vau starts at the junction with the route de la Gineste (D559) and the road which goes to La Gardiole, in front of the military camp of Carpiagne. It does not have any difficulty because it follows the track used by security vehicles. The second part of the path is enclosed in a small valley. Although the view is not outstanding, the shadow of the trees and the rock is very pleasant. Then when you get to the last curve you discover one of the most beautiful calanques in Marseille.
You’d better take the path from Port Miou.

• Route from the col de la Gardiole to En-Vau

• From the gate of La Gineste (in front of the military camp of Carpiagne), follow the road which descend in the small valley, then go higher to the col de Gardiole. Next, take the red-marked path. It starts with a concrete part and turns into a large track going around the forest house of la Gardiole. After going around the forest house, the path goes further to the right and a into a valley after a few minutes. Keep going on this track that stays at the end of the valley until the calanque d’En Vau.
